“I will be getting a backpiece tattoo. My only concern is its treatment during the healing process. I live by myself, so putting the lotion/ointment on will be a problem.

I asked this question about a year ago, and it was suggested getting a handheld mirror, spatula, turn with the back facing a bathroom mirror and look into the handheld mirror to apply the ointment/lotion with the spatula that way. Will the spatula be sanitary enough? I do not have the equipment at home to sterilize it, but can wash it with hot water and antibacterial soap.

The artist, who is a friend of mine (I am considered to be one of the gang there) offered to let me come into the shop and someone there can help put on the ointment/lotion. especially since there is a new type he wants be to use for this, but I would feel guilty about imposing on them like this.” - Lloyd
